“Where is Aztec and what are you doing there?” Good question! It’s not exactly a destination and it’s definitely not on the beaten path. Our friend Alan from Mammoth mentioned it in his blog. It sounded interesting and was close enough to where we are heading, so why not work it in for a couple of nights.
And ride it for a couple of days! It was fun, and it was different, but it’s definitely not Phil’s World or any of the Hurricane rides. We are glad we did it and it felt great to get those endorphins going again. The entire world is a better place after a good ride. The beer tastes better, your spouse is better looking, and all problems become small.

Awesome $20 full hook up site at the Ruins Road RV Park. Mostly permanent residences. But we scored the sweet spot.

The first evening we had some great lightening and thunder with light showers. This is looking east from our site. Behind the cottonwoods is the Animas River. All of a sudden the sun broke through in the west and for a few moments gave us this beautiful view.
Looks fun! Wish I had a trailer not in the shop! Oh those Hurricane rides! I am in PT for a rotator strain suffered on my Hurricane ride/endo back in April! Shoulder got worse! But I am 63 so enjoy 55 and 47!
Dang! Sorry to hear the shoulder is screwed up.
